Episode 86: The Revolution of our Time

We have thought long and hard the last few days of the best way for us to proceed as a company regarding the protests this week and the events and years that have lead to them. In an effort to ensure that the full message we have is understood fully we have decided that the best way is for us to use our largest platform (our podcast) to spread the message of personal freedom, pursuit of happiness and equal opportunity for all people regardless of race, ethnicity, creed, or any other factor as well as amplifying black voices in a time where so many feel ignored and unheard. We have and will ALWAYS be in support of this message. To those in this country that feel ignored please make no mistake, we hear you. We see you. And we are with you. No one in this world has the right to hinder the progression of any other individual. The memories of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and many many more will never be forgotten.

On episode 87 Don and Offie are joined by Aleks (with a K) to get a sense of the way that COVID-19 and the shutdown affected him. The sexual assault allegations leveled against Joe Biden by Tara Reade and the subsequent coverage the allegations got in mainstream media and how they were received by prominent figures on the left. The recent executive order by President Trump aimed at the powers social media companies have to police the content on their platforms. A long conversation is started (that will span multiple episodes) about police brutality, race relations, and personal freedoms within this country, discussed through the context of the murders of people like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd by police officers.

Here is when we started talking about Brett Kavanaugh

Here is when we talked about Mark Zuckerberg testifying in front of congress

In light of the recent protests regarding the murder of George Floyd we would like to continue and increase our effort to amplify black voices in a time where so many feel unheard. If you or some one you know has a story of view you think should be shared, please reach out to us.

For the next few weeks we are asking for some listener assistance, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! The Covid-19 pandemic is affecting everyone differently but we care about YOUR story. We want to hear about the people the media isn’t talking to or about. DM us, call us, email us, however you feel comfortable reach out to us and tell us your story.

Our theme song is written, produced and recorded by Upper Left.
